Academy of Experiences is a professional community of trainers and youth workers who are engaged with outdoor experiential education using nature and the world around them as a classroom. Their mission is to inspire, empower and support youth and adults to take responsibility in their lives and their communities. They create space and time for participants to develop their own personal and professional skills through non-formal educational activities. They place great emphasis on offering skills development programmes for marginalised youth.

Autonómia Foundation
Autonómia Foundation is a private foundation established in 1990. Autonomia focuses on strengthening civil society and supporting marginalised social groups, with a special emphasis on Roma integration. Autonómia’s activities include local training, project generation, community development and supporting community initiatives, integrated cross-sector professional work, identification of good practices (study visits), research projects, policy recommendations, grant making and management of grant schemes.

BAGázs Association
BAGázs is a public benefit association that has been working since 2011 to contribute to an inclusive society in which Roma people have a chance to achieve their goals. BAGázs empowers Roma communities in vulnerable situation. In parallel, the Association sensitises members of mainstream society to become more open towards Roma communities. The Association implements their activities in two Roma settlements (Bag, Dány).

Cseriti
The network was established in 2011 and currently operates 7 charity shops across Budapest. Charity shops couple social value with environmental benefits: they sell good quality, second-hand items at low prices firstly making them affordable for families in need and secondly saving them from ending up in the landfill. The Cseriti’s vision is to expand their chain across Budapest and beyond.

Enactus Nottingham is part of Enactus, a global community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using entrepreneurial action to transform communities and create a more sustainable world. Enactus Nottingham manages eleven social enterprise projects both locally in the UK and internationally in countries such as Malawi, Kenya, Malaysia and China.

Ethnic Talents
In close collaboration with grassroots organisations, Ethnic Talents recruit amateurs from minority backgrounds (especially Roma) to work as extras or actors in international and domestic movies, productions and advertisements. The social impact of the project manifests itself on different levels. First, working in the movie industry is a great opportunity to earn additional income for hundreds of people annually. Second, being introduced to the movie industry could create new prospects for many by linking them with other career opportunities in the world of film. Third, the project positively impacts on the representation of Roma by enabling Roma to feature in movies and advertisements in non-stereotypical roles.

Impact Accelerator
Impact Accelerator invites social enterprises to participate in an intensive 6-9 month programme. During the programme, selected enterprises work with experts and investors to become investment-ready so that they can scale up their operations and social impact.

Inbar operates “Szentfazék” Food Delivery and Catering social enterprise. They reinvest any profit into the development of their homeless shelter activities that serve 100-110 people on a daily basis.

Flow Foundation
Flow Foundation supports non-profit organisations and communities with organisational development and leadership development, providing training and support for non-profit leaders and employees. It promotes learning and flow experience, the mental state in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in intense concentration and enjoyment. Flow Foundation helps people recognise, gain awareness of, and create the flow experience, so they can achieve flow in their work and personal life, and they can lead their communities and organisations in an effective and fulfilling way.

Kiútprogram
The Kiútprogram was established in 2010 to help families to find a way back to the labour market by helping them gain significant supplementary income through small scale cucumber production. Through the programme, the participants are supported with access to microcredits and mentoring services, which enable them to become independent producers. The organisation is operating in more than 20 settlements in less favoured areas of Hungary.

National Association of the 21st Century Roma Women
The Association was established by Roma and non-Roma women in 2016 in order to fight for the equal and fair treatment of Roma communities by decreasing prejudices and creating opportunities in employment and training. Their work revolves around community-building, empowerment, talent development and advocacy. The Association is based in Nyíregyháza and works mainly in the city and the surrounding villages.

Founded in 1997 NESsT is an international social enterprise incubator that supports entrepreneurial solutions to social problems in emerging market countries. They identify and select high-impact entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to address large-scale social issues. Using a combination of financial investment, capacity strengthening and strategic business mentoring, NESsT equips entrepreneurs with the tools they need to plan, launch, and potentially scale their social enterprises. The focus of Badur Foundation’s work with NESst is on social enterprises providing sustainable and dignified income for marginalised communities.

No Bad Kids // Pressley Ridge Hungary Foundation
The main target population of the organisation is young people with serious behavioural problems and their families. The organisation provides an array of services to keep children and families together so that youngsters with challenging behaviours can remain, integrate and thrive in their homes, schools and communities. Using trauma-sensitive approaches, through a collection of non-formal and experiential education methodologies and by providing a field to use real life-skills, they offer a recovery and self-healing opportunity to participating kids. In addition, the organisation provides training and consultation to various governmental units, schools, child protection agencies and other NGOs and facilitates programme and institutional development.

Parforum
Parforum is a non-profit organisation specialised in art-based educational programmes, community development, social interventions and participatory action research. Parforum’s mission is to contribute to a more egalitarian, solidarity-based, inclusive society by strengthening social awareness and critical thinking in its target populations. The two main areas of Parforum’s work are the empowerment of Roma youngsters and adults, and the sensitisation of the broader society. Parforum works in cooperation with organisations and individuals specialised in art, art pedagogy or art therapy, and with locally embedded institutions (i.e. schools, NGOs).

Pearl Foundation
The Pearl Foundation has worked for over 14 years in the Eastern region of Hungary, within some of the most disadvantaged communities in the country. The Foundation began its work by establishing an Art School with the aim of helping children fulfil their potential both creatively and educationally. In recent years the Pearl Foundation’s activities have broadened to the provision of social services to the families of the pupils and the wider community.

Pécsbányatelep Cultural Association and Chestnut Social Cooperative
The Association’s main focus is the provision of cultural and community-building activities and the preservation of the natural environment in Pécsbányatelep. In order to fight one of the most pressing problems of their neighbourhood, unemployment, a social cooperative was set up. The Cooperative utilises the chestnut fields around the cultural centre and generates employment opportunities for local inhabitants through processing its produce.

The Badur Foundation is a member of The European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), a global community of organisations sharing the same vision and a common goal: creating positive societal impact through venture philanthropy. T-TUDOK
The aim of T-TUDOK Centre for Knowledge Management and Educational Research Inc. (T-TUDOK) is to enhance educational performance by finding and distributing good practices in order to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning. The main activities of T-TUDOK are educational research and knowledge management. T-TUDOK is the Hungarian programme lead of the Creative Partnerships Programme (CPP) that aims to develop young people’s creativity and critical thinking as well as to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning in school. CPP trains artists to work with teachers and their students to bring about sustainable changes in the way teachers teach.

Think for the Future
Think for the Future (TFTF) was established in 2012 to use a data-driven approach to tackle social and emotional barriers to learning. They are a social enterprise working in partnership with national organisations to provide schools with innovative solutions to ensure that young people reach their full educational potential. TFTF mentors and workshop facilitators use the power of their real-life experiences overcoming social and emotional barriers to relate to young people and deliver engaging sessions that inspire positive change.

“With the Power of Humanity” Foundation
The “With the Power of Humanity” Foundation was formed in 2006 to take part in the creation of a democratic and solidary society where human dignity and human rights are respected. The NGO is active in human rights education offering workshops, innovating methodological tools and putting a great emphasis on shared learning of like-minded organisations. Additionally, it runs an after school programme for mostly Roma children with fewer opportunities in a segregated part of the city of Pécs. The Foundation also offers free-time programmes and personal mentoring for parents and other adults, and supports the identification of community issues and advocacy.
