In the UK, the Foundation supports locally embedded organisations that approach social and environmental problems in sensitive and innovative ways. Both Education and Social Enterprise remain at the core of our remit and we support initiatives that provide opportunities otherwise inaccessible to those from less advantaged backgrounds or communities.
We work closely with a small number of organisations, giving them access to the support they need to reach the next stage of their development; from being ready to obtain more mainstream funding through to organisational growth or increased social impact. By working with a smaller number of dedicated teams, we seek to learn from their experiences and to develop lasting, meaningful partnerships which best utilise the skills and contacts of our Trustees.
We currently have three regions of focus in the UK: Greater London, the East Midlands and the North East of England. We will consider supporting an organisation outside of those regions if it closely aligns with our aims.
